“Christmas on the Square” is a beloved community celebration that brings together families, friends, and neighbors to enjoy festive activities, music, and holiday cheer. The Friends of the Library will be joining the festivities to spread awareness of our programs and share sweet treats with visitors!
Volunteer Role
Volunteers will play a key role in helping our booth run smoothly and ensuring everyone enjoys a warm, welcoming experience.
Duties Include:
- Handing out cookies and other small treats to event attendees
- Manning the Friends of the Library and Library Events information tables
- Answering basic questions about library programs, events, and membership
- Sharing information about how community members can get involved or support the library
- Helping set up and tidy the booth area as needed
- Bringing enthusiasm and holiday spirit to all interactions!
What We’re Looking For:
- Friendly, approachable, and reliable volunteers
- Comfortable speaking with the public and sharing information
- Able to stand for part of the shift and work in an outdoor event environment
- Enthusiastic about libraries and community engagement!
